resolve | A term describing the assignments of subsets of data (fields , segments , runs ) to fill a chunk . A chunk is "resolved" when there is sufficient data to fill a contiguous length of a stripe . At that time, decisions are made on the best data to use (seeing, photometric conditions) to fill the desired area. A chunk can be resolved multiple times, as new data is acquired or data is reprocessed. This is why we now have multiple snapshots of the data in the database (see Target and Best ).
